QED LAB is proud to host our Annual Client Appreciation & Fundraiser for the National MS Society. Join us for a fun night of poker with exciting prizes, delicious food, and the chance to support a meaningful cause. All donations raised go directly to supporting the National MS Society’s mission to drive research and support for those living with multiple sclerosis. It’s our way of showing appreciation to our clients while making a positive impact on our community. When we come together, we can build stronger connections and help create a future free of MS.

What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic condition that affects the central nervous system, disrupting communication between the brain and the rest of the body. It occurs when the immune system attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers, leading to symptoms like fatigue, vision problems, muscle weakness, and coordination difficulties. While there is no cure, treatments can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. This cause is especially close to our hearts, as our President, Charlie Klingner, lost his mother to MS in 2014. We honor her memory by supporting research and those living with this disease.

Poker for a Purpose: Honoring My Mom’s Fight Against MS

Nearly 1 million people in the U.S. live with MS — an unpredictable and often disabling disease of the central nervous system. My mother was diagnosed in her 40s and bravely faced the challenges of MS with strength, resilience, and grace for more than 20 years before passing away in 2013. Each year, QED Lab proudly hosts a Texas Hold ’Em poker tournament in her memory, bringing together friends, family, and community for an evening of fun, food, and connection. All proceeds from the tournament go directly to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation to support research, awareness, and resources for those living with MS. By gathering around the poker table, we not only honor a remarkable woman but also work toward a future with better treatments and, one day, a cure. Thank you for your support.
